Trust and Estate Legal Assistant | Hybrid Role | Up to $115k
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Trust and Estate Legal Assistant to step into a key role supporting meaningful client matters.
This hybrid position offers the opportunity to work closely with an attorney who values strong organization and proactive communication, with a month-long transition alongside the outgoing secretary to ensure a smooth onboarding process.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the outgoing secretary during a one-month transition to get up to speed on existing workflows.
- Respond to a high volume of client and internal emails, prioritizing and addressing communications efficiently.
- Draft, proofread, and organize legal documentation, including wills, trusts, codicils, and estate planning agreements.
- Maintain the attorney’s documentation processes to ensure smooth operations and seamless organization.
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and conference calls, while managing a dynamic calendar.
- Serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring all interactions are handled professionally and confidentially.
- Coordinate filing systems (both electronic and paper-based), process incoming/outgoing mail, and handle conflict-of-interest checks.
- Manage billing tasks, including time entry and expense reports, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Provide administrative support such as arranging travel, preparing itineraries, and organizing meeting materials.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience: At least 5 years as a legal assistant specializing in trusts and estates.
- Certification: Notary certification is a significant plus.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with iManage is preferred but not required.
- Professionalism: Strong communication skills, confidentiality, and a proactive approach to supporting attorneys and clients.
