Job Description

The successful candidate will possess the ability to work efficiently and independently; manage high volume of tasks and projects quickly and efficiently, at times with little guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require rapid response and turnaround; take effective action without having to know the total picture; think creatively and proactively in solving problems. The candidate will also be client-service oriented, have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have great organization skills, and have the ability to easily switch gears. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.  The ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, is essential as is professional maturity when communicating with clients.


Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years’ experience working as a highly productive legal assistant or administrative capacity
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as Adobe
  • Perform secretarial functions associated with firm administrative tasks, including processing new client/matter requests, client bills, time and expense reports. Maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments and compiling complex documentation
  • Set up and maintain files. Coordinate conferences, meetings and appointments
  • Create and maintain case files, including producing and editing transcripts
  • Screen, direct, and prioritize incoming calls and emails to lawyers
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree is a plus
  • Legal or administrative experience
  • Strong proofreading, written and oral communication skills are a must, as is the desire and aptitude for learning new concept, programs and software
